BLUFFS ILLINOIS
Guardians of other animals
Llamas are extremely alert and are aware of anything that happens in or near the pasture. They may startle the predator by sounding their alarm call. They may also protect by charging, kicking or pawing the predator. The llama may place itself between the predator and the flock. Llamas have proven effective in controlling single intruders, not packs of animals.
